Her accomplishments with her own dogs is nothing short of
phenomenal! She has accomplished such amazing achievements with two Irish
Setters gaining their
Obedience
Trial Championship each with a perfect score of
200 in Utility!
In addition, four of her Border Collies also achieved their
Obedience Trial Championship
titles combining for a total of
19 perfect scores of '200'!
Her achievements in herding
have gained her
7 Herding Trial Champions and her latest endeavors in agility
have reached the same high levels. Janice's ability to read dogs and get
inside their heads is uncanny... one could go so far as to say that she is a
'dog whisperer'
and communicates with them at their
level.
While many
individual trainers can achieve success on their own personal dogs, it takes a
gifted individual who can pass those same winning qualities onto their students.
Janice is a master at both. The success rate of her students is far
too numerous to mention as individual statistics...and if the truth be known,
she just doesn't remember them all! What she does recount is that her
students have achieved a total of
21 perfect scores of '200',
an unaccountable number of
High In Trial and High Combined
awards as well as winning
placements at all levels in
World Series,
Gaines Regional
&
Classic Obedience
tournaments,
Herding Champions, Obedience champions
and
Agility
successes!
From 1985 thru 2005, Ms. DeMello had captured the delight of audiences around the country and internationally with her "open, honest, innovative yet often humorous teaching style" as one attendee describes it.
With the advent
of her involvement in the herding sport, she has
amassed an incredible winning record in a shor
t
amount of time. This has brought a new dimension to her teachings in
competitive obedience as well as in agility.
Janice conducts private lessons in competitive agility, obedience & herding. She has returned to sharing her winning training method by offering a new style in seminars that combine cross training in obedience, agility, herding and other K9 events.
