IN MY DREAMS....

I can still remember sitting at Jan's table in Indiana in July 1996 when all of a sudden she said to me that I needed to finish off my BC family with a Red and White.  At that time I had Tris, a very special Hob Nob Black and White Tri and Quiz, a Black and White Male from Jan's friend, Edgar Gould in MA.

The three of us, Tris, Quiz, and I, had driven out to Indiana to train with Jan in obedience.  I had always loved Jan's Trivet but on this visit I fell in love with handsome Juice.  The visit was well timed as Jan had just bred Juice and Divot and had a litter of Red and Whites expected in August.

Well, Jan sent me the most adorable little Red and White Tri in October.  What a thrill it was to see her bound out of her crate at the airport and give me thousands of kisses and hugs, that are well known among Juice's off spring.

Hob Nob Finishing Touch  "Fringe"  has turned out to be such a very special little girl.  She has such a wonderful personality and is loved by all who know her.  She comes into all training gatherings so excited, often times on her hind legs, saying "HI everyone!  I am here!"

Fringe was a late bloomer in agility because of my double knee replacement.  I think she really sensed the pain I was going through as I would try to handle my BC's on courses.  However, Fringe was always a joy to live with and very special to me.

Once I recovered from my surgery and rehab, Fringe, at the age of 4 or 5, quickly started to gain the thrill of running in agility.  She even came in 7th at Clean Run Camp in the Weave Pole Challenge as she was learning the sport.  She had never seen more than 12 poles at one time.  She has always loved her weave command "Chute"!!

Fringe also gained the love of herding at an older age than most.  At the age of seven she showed her herding trainer that even a 7 year old could learn the sport quickly.  She earned her Herding Starters A course sheep title at 8 years of age.

Fringe is never happier than when she is working but she is also very easy to live with.  She will spend hours sleeping on HER COUCH but the minute she senses I am ready to do something she is right at my side wanting to be the first one out.

I could not possibly ask for more than Fringe has given me.  She has taught me so much and is so patient while I am learning different moves with her.  I do so love to do agility with her!!!

Thank you Jan for again giving me the privilege of owning such a very special Hob Nob Girl!!!  Fringe is one in a million in my eyes!!  (But yet so is Tris!!)  How lucky can one person be????
