Juice was the first red border collie I had ever met at a Janice DeMello seminar many years ago. I instantly fell in love with this red dog as I watched him strut his stuff during the seminar and watched in awe at his call off the dumb bell a split second before he was supposed to retrieve it. His drive and work ethic were a phenomenon. Little did I know many years later I would be sitting at my computer at work anxiously scanning my email for the breaking news of Edge whelping her puppies. I knew that Surge would have Juice on both sides of her pedigree and I was so excited that I would be blessed with a puppy related to that great red dog I had met so many years before.
After Edge had been bred to Brew I would lay awake at night and rub Edge's stomach and recite my mantra to her "Bi-red girl for me" Well Edge granted me my wish when she produced one bi-red girl for me out of a litter of seven. I can remember jumping up from the computer at work to tell my co-workers that puppy number four has just been born and of course it was my bi-red girl.

I had already planned out a name and she has certainly lived up to her registered name and call name. She has Grandpa Juice's drive and work ethic and her mama Edge's sweetness. What more could I ask for? Thank you Jan for allowing Surge to come into my life.......Gail Smith, Rochester, WA
